There is a touch more grey and just a pound or two "good living" of added weight as Bailey, my Blue-eyed Dream Girl celebrates turning 13. Literally the dog of my teenaged girl dreams, she joined the WDA five years ago in one of those unplanned "meant-to-be" moments.  Bailey is not only my Protector but is also the White Dog Army's Peacekeeper.

Bailey is still more than capable of chase games with Zsofia, toy stealing from Opal, counter surfing and looking too adorable to yell at. 

My vegetable-loving girl can be counted upon to choose a well-balanced Birthday Meal which we shared tonight: shrimp (including tails) stir-fried with bok choy, mushrooms, bell peppers, ginger, and garlic; grilled chicken livers; steamed broccoli; and vanilla ice cream topped waffles. 

Happy Birthday, Bailey Girl. THIS is the face that I think of when nothing else makes me smile...the one you made the first time I kissed you...may you light up our lives for a long, long time.
