"Dad, don't be sad. We're all here for you. You know Momma is here with us, too. Today is rough because it's the last day of the holiday. It's time to unpack all those boxes from our friends who don't live nearby. They're thinking of you and want to express their love. Also, I've noticed a faint scent of dog treats, and we wouldn't want them to go uneaten, right?", observed Zsofia.
"I know, baby girl. I need to unpack all the boxes, but it's just that Momma and I used to do that together, and I'm missing her very much today. I need to take on the things she used to do along with my tasks. She used to make a list of gifts as I unpacked them so that we can write thank you notes. I'll get the pen and paper and use the fancy pen that Momma used."
We unpacked all the boxes and took photos and made the list. Afterward, we had treats - many treats. It felt like Momma was right there with us. Exhausted, we relaxed and took a nap before dinner.
Thank you to everyone who sent Christmas cards. Sue and I usually sent out our cards late, and I seem to be following that tradition. Love to all....

Hugs from us. It's tough, we know.
We're sending you love and gentle purrs, dear friends.

I think Sue would be very proud of how well you and the Army
are handling everything along with the extreme sorrow. Good job, I say!
Take care of yourself & stay safe,
