Throwback Thursday! |
"Dad, why are you looking through all of those old photos? Wouldn't you rather give us more treats?" asked Lilly. "I've already given the White Dog Army more treats today than I usually hand out." I responded. "None of you were around when Momma taught school. Only Siku would remember those days."
For those of you who don't know, Sue homeschooled two fine students through high school who had originally struggled in public school. Christine and Wyatt benefitted from Sue's patient demeanor and vast knowledge base. She was required to use a curriculum approved by the Albuquerque Public School District, but augmented it constantly with ancillary materials. She even invited them to join us when we vacationed in China and Costa Rica.

Wow! That is really awesome! I have no doubt that those students went on to do great things because of Sue's help.
Hugs to you.
Such an incredible memory and wonderful for those young kids.
This is a really beautiful memory of Sue and how her love and care touched so many on such a deep level , Steve. Thank you for sharing this with us. XO
