White Dog's usual nightly walk is postponed as we wait out an unusually heavy rainstorm. She is not anxious to go out in the downpour but she is a creature of routine. Her need may drive us out soon regardless of our preference. Meanwhile, she gamely paces and frequently checks the weather status via the window.
