White Dog and Steve spent the evening "Fishing for Eskies" a game utilizing the new fishing pole toy that arrived by UPS this afternoon (this is why White Dog loves when the brown truck stops in front of the house!). White Dog could hardly wait for Steve to come home and help open the package so that they could play (she knew it was for her and had been sniffing at it since it arrived). The game begins with Steve "casting" the bungee-corded squirrel out into the room where it bobs and wiggles from the tip of the fishing pole. White Dog sneaks up, leaps for the squirrel and tries to grab it to the ground where she can sink her teeth into the plush animal. When the Eskie is firmly "hooked" a tug of war to "reel her in" ensues. She usually slips off the line and Steve must recast, starting the cycle again...and again...and again. White Dog has even ignored dinner in favor of continuing play.
