White Dog and Steve were so incredible helpful in pulling together a Mayan celebration that will be talked about for days to come. After cooking up a storm, setting up extra seating and computers, and hanging posters of the model and things Maya, we were ready for guests!

Despite cold temperatures that drove the crowd mostly indoors everyone mixed and shared and ate and finally got to see our project! Steve and Gregg gave tours and test drives of the electric car/truck to the very interested guests.

White Dog's guest list climbed to five when Keith and Beth ran back home to get Dharma and Shiva, their Malteses. Along with Daisy, Poppy, and Dragon, White Dog's "posse" had a marvelous time being randomly loved by guests, playing in the yard, and eating special Mayan treats (thanks to Richard).

The humans used the laptops to walk through the ancient Maya city while munching on plantain chips, guacamole, wild forest mushroom mole, spicy chicken and pumpkin stew, quesadillas, tropical fruits, and Richard's wonderful callabacitas. We even had pupusas (stuffed tortillas) filled with loroco a central American flower that tastes like asparagus. Of course, there was coffee and chocolate, which the Maya held sacred (as do I)!

It was a rewarding moment for the project and a fabulous party, but White Dog was exhausted when we ushered the last guest to the door...as were we. But we were all smiling and satisfied.
