White Dog awoke slowly on her actual birthday feeling just a little "hung-over" from the over indulgence and socializing of yesterday's partying. We had a leisurely morning and a healthy breakfast...enjoying especially that Steve was home to share it with us (he's on vacation this week). Late in the morning we went to the Park for some birthday exercise and had a great time running in the grass. We went to the pet store where White Dog chose a gingerbread man with a tennis ball stomach for a birthday toy; he has been named "Cookie". To counterbalance the food excess of yesterday, White Dog had plain chicken for lunch but had just a nibble of pistachio ice cream to make the meal festive...then enjoyed a birthday afternoon nap. She is a beautiful diva of four now and we are amazed at how quickly the time has passed. White Dog squirmed as I held her and we told her (for the millionth time) the story of her beginning but I think she secretly likes hearing how chosen and loved she is. Happy Birthday, Siku!
