White Dog has been rubbing and scratching her ears. We cleaned them thoroughly and were glad there didn't seem to be any discharge; but her discomfort persists. We called her vet, Dr. Julia, who knows how traumatized White Dog gets when she must go into the office, and had a long, thorough conversation about White Dog's symptoms: itchy ears, slight odor to them, sneezing, mucus-y nose and slightly elevated temperature. No loss of appetite but extra sleepy. Sounds like White Dog has an ear infection said the doctor who prescribed some ear drops and weak peppermint tea to calm the little patient. If things continue without improvement White Dog will have to visit the vet, but we are hopeful.
