White Dog loves helping Steve grill dinner and with the Albuquerque heat of late, we have been grilling A LOT! It is funny to watch her sit patiently at the kitchen door while Steve seasons the meat and preps everything. When he goes out to preheat the grill she races back to the bedroom and exits the dog door so she can assist. Once things are cooking White Dog sits on the deck keeping watch and sniffing (a true chef knows it is all about the smell, she says). As Steve goes in and out of the house during the process White Dog follows him to make sure nothing is forgotten. Finally, when Steve picks up the platter which he will use to bring everything in, White Dog knows it is time to enjoy the end result of their labor. She rushes back in ahead of him (through the dog door) and jumps up waiting for her share of dinner. White Dog says: Chicken, Steak, Pork Chops or Fish...all are so succulent when grilled. Yum!

It's ALL about the smell! You are so great helping your Dad with the grilling. I am sure there are great rewards for you.:) I am so glad to hear that your Mommy is doing better.:)

That's too funny - using the doggie door to exit and enter!

Siku, I'm sure the food would NOT be as well prepared if you weren't there to help Dad! Good job!
