White Dog decided that Stripes, her new fish stuffie from Benny, had to learn the routine. All day Stripes went everywhere and did everything White Dog did. He slept behind the chair. He sat in the window and watched the neighborhood. He sunned himself on the deck and visited White Dog's "privy" behind the stand of bamboo. White Dog tried teaching him how to dig (he wasn't very good at this). He refreshed himself along with White Dog at her the food and water bowls. He napped under White Dog's paw. When Steve came home, Stripes was thrown onto his lap to join White Dog as she greeted her dad. Steve noticed that Stripes was pretty dirty and tired looking after the long day; White Dog shook him in punishment and abandoned him in the hallway. Then she got ball so she and Steve could play.
