White Dog is the reincarnation of Machiavelli. She is a master at making others feel their ideas are original and not the actual subliminal influence of her own desires. She suggested that we order out a "Celebration Dinner" to reward Steve for the success of his AIA Regional Conference Presentation. It had been a honor for him to be asked to give a talk and it was well attended and received. "Good idea," I agreed. Then White Dog suggested we let Steve pick the cuisine; again I gave an OK and called him with our idea. Steve chose barbecue ribs and fried seafood from our favorite rib joint! White Dog loves ribs as much as Steve does so she was very surprised and excited...or so I thought. Seems White Dog and Steve had been discussing ribs this very morning as she planted the idea in his head. So when asked for a choice Steve's focus was already on the juicy fall-off-the-bone delicacy and the crunchy coated oysters.
