White Dog was unnerved by the howling canyon winds that screamed all night. She crawled up on the bed and slept, head on Steve's pillow, tightly pressed between us. The winds were fierce and powerful. Toward early morning White Dog stood at the edge of the bed looking toward the yard and barking a deep throaty growl. She was insistent and Steve got up to check out the alarm. The wind had loosened one of the lattice panels on the deck and it was swinging and banging. Unfortunately nothing could be done right then and White Dog had to nervously bear with it. When daylight came, Steve went out and with White Dog's help re-secured the panel. White Dog was grateful.

You are such a brave defender of your home and family, Siku. It must have been very scary to hear odd noises, but thankfully you and dad have amazing skill at fixing things! I bet it made mom and dad feel more comfrotable, too, with you snuggling up with them as the winds howled.
