White Dog was surprised and grateful when Steve came home from class an hour early--the students had voted to give up breaks for the session and next so that they could start their holiday weekend early! For White Dog this meant that Steve had extra play time (and energy) so out came the fishing pole and the two played "Fishing for Eskies"! Together they opened the delivery box which contained the bio-starter for our new composter. White Dog seemed a little too interested as she sniffed and rubbed against the bag--I am suddenly glad that the stuff will be enclosed in the composter tub and is not available for rolling in!

How wonderful that your Dad came home early. I hope you all enjoy the long weekend. Yes, our Daddy has an extra day off.:) Sierra loves to like the composting bin. Daddy had to build a fence around it so she can't access it anymore.

That's great that she got to spend time with her daddy. I love spending time with Mommy that is extra and unexpected.

Hi Siku! Thank you for visiting my blog and helping with my commentathon. It's very nice to meet you!

:) ben gets the bottom of the pole, hansel winds up somewhere in the middle, and tesla attacks the top!
Good for you! At one time (years ago), we had composted. But then a bout of laziness and knowing we would be moving gave us reason to stop. We've recently talked about doing it again - Thanks for giving us the inspiration!
Siku - Dad would probably love nothing more than to be home with you every night, just as you, I'm sure, would wish him to be there. How great that all three of you had some extra family time!!
