White Dog and I spent the morning while Steve was in class looking at recipes...one of our favorite "must keep your feet up" past times. So when Steve came home we had a bunch of new dishes to try and a shopping list of exotic ingredients not yet found in our pantry. Off he was sent to Talin the World Food Market to purchase what we needed to make Korean Grilled Beef Shortribs. (Thanks to Teddy's mom who suggested a particularly good website for Korean recipes!) Later we chopped and pureed and made a fabulous smelling marinade. White Dog supervised and tasted the new foods (like Asian pears which are huge and sweet). The ribs are now soaking overnight in sauce...White Dog strolls by the frig every time it is opened just to make sure they are still there. Tomorrow she and Steve will grill them up for our dinner! Next to try later in the week? Moroccan Chicken Stew!

Ooooh, Siku, I am sure that you are going to LOVE the short ribs. I think they might be my favorite. Whenever they are being grilled, I can't think of anything else. I am forced to eat my dinner because I like to be stubborn and wait for the Korean BBQ. I can't wait for you to try it and let me know what you think. Asian pears are the best too...so crisp and juicy!

Love,
Teddy Bear
