White Dog was surprised when Steve didn't leave for work this morning. She kept trying to hurry him into his "normal" routine and was puzzled at his leisurely attitude. Finally it dawned on her that he was taking the day off and she ran for her toys! They played for awhile and went outside in the beautiful Fall morning to just snuff around in the leaves. When the representative for the solar panel system came by to give us his presentation, White Dog was attentive and well-behaved...until we started discussing the economics of such a project; bored, then, she went to sun herself. The tax incentives for "going solar" are compelling as is our commitment to alternative energy so this is a decision we are seriously considering. Later, after Paul left and we were discussing the project, White Dog asked the important question..."How does this effect my dinner/treat situation and will I be inconvenienced at all?" She can be a little self-centric sometimes. When Steve reassured her that all of the considerations from her standpoint were positive (and I had to agree that they seemed so for us as well), White Dog gave her blessing to adding the new technology to our house. Steve and I still have a few factors to work through.

Going solar? How exciting! It's ok to be self centric, Siku. You're a great girl. I'm so glad that you had the whole day with your Mom and Dad today. It's raining like crazy here and I don't know if it will stop soon.:(

Love,

Ah - FANTASTIC!!! We've wanted to add solar for so long, but its been financially somewhat out of reach. Are the rebates active again? Will you be able to go off the grid, or sell back? Our neighbors went solar about two years ago, and their electric bill is $12/year!

Siku, Prinnie said not to worry, that she will make sure you have all the treats you want.
