White Dog is constantly amazed at our weather here in Albuquerque. We awoke this morning to freezing rain, sleet, and snow. None of us wanted to get out of the bed much less trudge off down the slippery driveway to scrape off the car (poor Steve) or be pelted by ice while attending to morning hygiene (very wet and cold White Dog). Mid morning the moisture left and gusty howling canyon winds made everything creak and bend. It was chilling to the bone and threatened to topple over anyone brave enough to venture out. Now it is afternoon and our famous New Mexican blue skies have returned, the winds are gentle, and the sun is warm. White Dog lies on the deck watching birds; the drama of the early day melted away.

What a roller coaster of weather. But to wake up to snow? That's a dream come true.:) I'm glad that the sun came out to warm things up before night time.

Sounds like you had a little bit of everything. We have had rain all day when we thought we were going to have fun playing in a ton of snow. No such luck - still waiting.

oh boy i'm sorry about your nasty weather! Mom took benneh out this mernin- and didn't know it was pouring- i guess she didn't look outside first or listen as she was going downstairs but when she opened the door benneh took off all happy and she was really not happy at all. Her came in looking drowned. AND it melted all our snow away. :(

Oh! GOOD! We were worried when we started reading this post, 'cause our friends Chaucer and family left Denver for Albuquerque (and beyond) yesterday, after battling weather to get this far! BUT they didn't leave until mid-day, so maybe by the time they got there, the weather was sunny and clear. We hope so!

Did you happen to see the Chaucermobile? How cool would that have been!

Love from up north,
Jake and Fergi and family
