White Dog has been home a couple of days now and still something was not right. She has checked her toy box a bazillion times and nothing is missing. All of the "pets" are in good health and are glad she is home. Food, water and treats are where they should be....Oh my dog!...what's that noise?...the MAILMAN! That's what has been missing! There has been no mail delivery since we got back Saturday night because yesterday was a holiday! White Dog lunged for her perch and went into overdrive barking and scratching at the window to let USPS know she is home and on duty. She "sang" the mailman all of the way down the block and back to his truck. When I went to the porch to collect the envelopes, White Dog was at my side sniffing the pieces and allowing them to be brought inside. Individual inspections revealed that there was actually an envelope for her...a lovely letter and photos from her friend Cappy (check out his new blog). White Dog hopped back up on her chair and gave one final sendoff to the mailman even though he was long gone. At last, things were back to normal and she could nap.

Its so good to see the mail man. I too like to sit and watch for im, and when I see him I jump down from the window and wait for it to fall on the mat.. So glad you have got things back to normal Siku. Happy days.. Hugs GJ x
Doesn't it drive you crazy when you KNOW something is off and you just can't put your paw on it?? I'm so glad that you finally figured it out, and let the USPS know that Siku Marie is present and reporting for duty!
Love,
Prinnie
We don't really get to see the mailman, he is in his truck and just drops the stuff off curbside. But that sounds like fun!
Siku,
You are a very good mail collector inspector. If you weren't there, then who would help with the mail inspection and collection.
Sally Ann
Hey! We're glad to read things are sort of back to normal. Wish we could say the same! (We sort of remember this happened last year ... ho hummm ... Moma is a bit pokey ... for INSTANCE! ... there are still two VERY YUMMY bones out of our reach .... waiting, she says, for the right time.)
We've been over and met Cappy. What a hoot! Thanks for leading us that direction.
Time to bed. For dinner. That's how bad it has gotten!

Hi Siku - I'm glad you received the pictures. Delivery was fast, even with a holiday. It's REALLY raining here in Northern California. This time, the weathermen were right on target with their forecasts.
Hugs, barks and yips,
Cappy
What a nice surprise from Cappy. I like to "sing" to the mailman too.:)

hey Siku Marie,
You deserve extra treats for being such a good watch doggy! I am glad you are all back to normal, and everything is just right again!
How sweet of your furry friend Cappy to send you stuff. Isn't it great getting surprise mail? Enjoy!
Suka
See, White Dog just knew there was something for her in that mail delivery. When there is a no mail day on a day when there should be, it gets our humans all confused too.
Woos, Phantom and Thunder
We do love the mailman and UPS guy. They brought a lot of treats during the holidays.
That is great that you let the mailman know you are back!
