White Dog and Quinn received a package from Daisy Mae and Rebecca earlier in the week and were tortured because we made them wait until the weekend to open it. For days they have strolled past the coffee table, eyeing it...sniffed huge deep breaths to inhale smells that their keener sense told them was delicious...pointedly looked at me and then the package.

It was a Paw It Forward gift and since Quinn has never had the chance to meet new friends and send special gifts in this thoughtful exchange, White Dog agreed that we should participate in this round even though we have "played" before.

Daisy's mom, Rebecca is a very talented woman who helped Daisy put together a delightful package of homemade gifts that (White Dogs noses don't lie) were delicious and had them pushing their noses into the envelope before Steve could even take everything out. There were tasty muffins and peanut butter cookies that both WD and TOWD insisted on sampling before going further. And each also received a soft tuggie braid in special colors. It is at this point that we discovered Quinn was frightened by the flash of the camera as he ran from it and refused to reenter the pictures. (Sorry Daisy, but he did like the tug)! The gifts were so thoughtful and well chosen...and they were extra wonderful because they were handmade. Both pups are thankful for their gifts...and their friendship with Daisy Mae's family.

The part both White Dog and The Other White Dog are excited about now is discovering who will join the circle and allow them to send Paw It Forward gifts to them. Quinn is still learning about how wonderful this community is and asks for three friends to sign up in the comments to be his "Forwards." Everyone knows pretty much how it works: WD and TOWD will send a present and ask that the circle be continued by the recipient by sending gifts to three of his or her friends...and so on. Please join us!

Oh we are not too late - we would be overjoyed to join in with Quinn's first Paw it Forward (it looks like there aren't 3 volunteers yet). We did one last year and it is so much fun - we love getting the surprises but we love sending them just as much!

Hey my BFF, you are such a lucky girl and Quinn a lucky boy to have such magnificent friends. Horray for you both! Sorry that your brother was scared of the flash - we all have our own little fears, but with time, maybe he will understand that it won't hurt him!! 66 more wake ups and we will be together again!!!

Love you all,
Prinnie, Digby, and Atka
