White Dog looked nervously over her shoulder and picked up her pace a bit; she just wasn't sure about the intentions of her stalker. Quinn, acting more like a goofy pup than we have ever seen, was following White Dog so closely that she could feel his hot breath on her tail. She walked over to the water dish; he followed close behind. WD trotted around the coffee table and down the hall; TOWD was on her heels. She paused; he screeched to a halt a centimeter behind her. She gave a warning growl and he looked innocently blank.
Suddenly, White Dog seemed to get it...her brother was attempting to PLAY! She briskly patrolled the kitchen (making sure he was right behind) and then broke into a run and smashed out of the dog door into the yard. Quinn, surprised, looked around and then took off after her. In short order both came zooming back into the living room, fluffy white bodies galloping in tandem. Both crowded next to Steve for hugs and pets and then just as suddenly as it started...it was over.
White Dog hopped up to cuddle on the chair and The Other White Dog wandered out to check his food dish. But for a magical few minutes Quinn showed that he IS changing, and like the seasons, revealing some new colors.

It must be the magic in the air traveling west because Lala has been doing that to Hailey. Hailey is rather annoyed with her because she thought Lala was just going to visit for a few and now she a permanent one here. Hailey is not happy!!! So I am glad to see WD & TOWD getting along even for just a brief run. I know now that there is some hope onthe west coast!
Hugs & Smoochies! XOXO

We are so glad Quinn is starting to play.:) What will be next? Zoomies?!:)

hey Siku Marie and Quinn,
What a great story! It started out kind-of spooky, for the Halloween season. I thought Quinn was turning into some scary creature. But what a fun happy ending - play time for the both of you! And tail wags to Quinn for coming into his own!
Suka
p.s. Siku Marie, I think you are tougher than you think! If a coyote every popped by licking his lips I think you could easily bark him off your territory!
How encouraging that must have been to see. It won't be long they will be driving you crazy with their play:)
That is really something, I can wait to hear about the next paw forward!
Won't be long now!
Oh I got chills (the good kind) reading that Quinn was trying to play - so wonderful!! And we are glad that White Dog caught on and decided to play too! So wonderful he is making such good progress!
What a wonderful image of precious Quinn initiating play time; that sweetheart is learning and loving and getting happier every day in your supportive, loving home...You post put a smile on Mommy's face!...kisses...Calle, Halle, Sukki
Jenna and Gus are siblings but Gus is much younger and stronger and bigger and tends to mob her . . . but sometimes she starts it :-)
With the rescue pups it sometimes takes a long time for them to come competely out of their shell. Sounds like Quinn is starting to come out. :)
Hi Everyone - we absolutely love the story. Siku, you're probably wondering how you ever got along without Quinn.
It took me 6 months to actually LIKE Oliver. Mom had to wash my toys and separate them from the toy box so they wouldn't have that *Ollie* scent.
We're still not joined at the hip, but I've turned into his big protector and we now play all the time.
Hugs and yips,
Cappy and Ollie
Hooray Quinn!
