White Dog and the other White Dogs were so busy in party preparations and hosting duties for yesterday's celebration that they barely had time to stop and recognizing the official emergence of Spring. Today was the quintessential high desert Spring day...warm and sunny with lusty gusts of canyon winds making blossom laden branches bob and swirling last autumn's dried leaves off to Oz.
This is a time of color in New Mexico and of bird songs and earth smells. Every one of the White Ones ached to be out running at the Park or hiking in the mountains, becoming one with the soaring spirit and hopefulness of this time. We threw open the doors and windows then napped on the sol-warmed deck and sunporch. And we delighted...all of us...in the promise that longer days and more tolerant temperatures will allow us more time laughing in the outdoors, snouts turned toward the heavens soaking up radiance and messages carried on the wind!
Welcome Spring, we have SO missed your smiling touch!

We love spring here too - the blossoming trees are so pretty and oh the richness of all the different shades of green.
Happy Spring to you and the Army.

So beautifully written. I'm enjoying a windy spring day here, too. It's warm and not too sunny. But those breezes are cleaning out each hidden corner!
I am so happy Spring has sprung too!
Beautiful flowers, colours and spring thoughts.. Hugs J xx
So happy spring is here but I am hearing we might get snow on Thursday. ICK! :(
hey White Dog Army,
What beautiful photos! The flowers are so pretty and I bet they smell delicious! Spring is a wonderful time and I can imagine how anxious all you pups are to be out running and exploring!

p.s. Sounds like you and your family and especially your mom had a wonderful birthday celebration on Sunday! The food sounds so yummy and delicious, and the company great! Birthday love with friends and family, nothing is better!
Wow, what a wonderful picture.

Its too blizzardy here in North Central Minniesnowda to get excited about Spring. They are predicting 11-19 inches of new snow
for tonight and tomorrow! So excuse us if we postpone celebrating with you (although your flowers are beautiful!)
Kisses,
Stella
