White Dog and The Army came rushing into the room as I cheered into the telephone and looked expectantly at me. When I ignored White Dog's polite tap on my leg asking what all the noise was about, The White Ones resorted to what always works...barking until everything (and one) around them stops.
"Dad was bringing home treats to tell you in person tonight but I guess you must know now," I told WD, TOWD, AWD, and SAWD. They tilted their heads in unison and stared. "His new firm got their first client!" A round of howls filled the air and Steve laughed in delight on the other end of the line at their reaction. The job is a residential addition to adapt the house for an aging couple planning for future needs. We are so excited for Steve and thankful for the immediate boost of encouragement from the Universe as he starts this new journey!
Thankful Thursday also includes gratitude for friends who upon hearing Steve's news dropped by to make the evening a celebration of hope and good wishes. Dragon and Sen-ge dragged their humans over to join The White Dogs for a casual dinner, happy talk, and an impromptu 2MillionDog Puppy Up! New Mexico planning session (since we were on a good luck roll).
And finally, we are thankful this Thursday for being able to share our good fortune with you. We send each and every one a sprinkling of Steve's magic dust and hope that it brings you positive energy in whatever you undertake!
