White Dog looked at Quinn and said, "Famous last words!"

It had been a bit calmer today with the exception of Puff body slamming her way through the pressure locks on the kitchen gate (yes, we gave her a second chance) but YoYoMa did not seem to mind being on the leash and hanging out with me so we left her free for the last two hours before Steve arrived home.

When he walked in, SAWD was lying pertly on my right side and YAWD was curled up against my chair on the left. AWD watched from the hearth. WD and TOWD stood off to the side. It was a moment of White Dog bliss that has been lacking for several days. Steve gently took time to greet and hug each of the pups. When he got to Puff, his special girl, he gathered her up in his arms and held her tightly.

"I think you can let YoYo off his leash, I've got her and want to just cuddle her a bit. Everyone is being very good and I think as long as we are here to watch everything will be ok." Steve carried SAWD with him into the office; Nuka and YoYoMa followed.

Suddenly, there was scuffling, a stampede down the hall and out of the dog door. This was followed fast as lightning by Steve racing through the house and out of the kitchen door (jumping baby gates along the way).

You know those cartoons where there is a line chase up and down and around and every which way? That was the scene in our yard as Puff ran flat out to escape YoYoMa who was pursuing her with a devilish look who was followed by Nuka yipping for everyone to STOP! as she dodged and tried to cut between the front runners, at the tail end was Steve in his socks, getting a predinner workout. He caught up with the lascivious duo while they were still doing the courtship chase and dance and grabbed Puff in his arms.

They returned, Steve and his baby girl hussie, and Steve put her back into the crate, firmly locking the door. YoYo charged to a stop in front of the gate, panting, and sank to his belly. "Foiled!" his expression clearly said.

Once Steve caught his breath, he said, "Maybe that wasn't such a good idea!" White Dog nudged Quinn and winked.

We are so sorry, but this post was good for a great laugh. We know it isn't funny, but the scene you painted was hilarious. And once again, we will say, how many more days to go? Are you sure you don't want to just bring YoYoMa to the kennel for a few more days?

I'm glad things are a little calmer, well except for the stampede. ;)

Happy woofs & weekend hugs,
