White Dog again stood at the front door, this time with a look that DARED us to leave the White Dog Army behind. I slipped on shoes and the White Ones surged against the door. Steve clipped leashes and all bedlam broke loose. NO ONE wanted to be in the second wave of pups taken out to be strapped into the car so they nearly knocked Steve over trying to be first out. Nuka managed to slip out before she was leashed and Puff (whose leash I held as we waited in the living room) bucked and yowled trying to join the others.

We were merely heading out to run errands but the WDA did not care. After yesterday's "abandonment" they were all contented to simply ride along with us. We dropped fliers about the 2MillionDog Puppy Up New Mexico end cancer Walk off at a couple of new sites. We briefly visited two different adopt-a-thons being held in town to promote the Cancer Walk. We went to the Pet Store. At each stop, Steve took one of the White Ones along for a little solo time; each time the others waiting with me in Pumpkin stared wistfully our of the window and barked "hurry backs."

Looking in the rearview mirror at the happy, relaxed WDA, Steve commented, "It is like that old Prince song. "I don't care where we go...I don't care what we do...Just take me with you!"

"drive thru?" YoYoMa lifted his head. "Did someone say drive thru?" "OK, we get the hint," said Steve, turning into Taco Tote.

We're so glad the entire WDA Army was together. It doesn't matter what we do or where we go...as long as we're together.:)

That's exactly how our dogs feel. As long as we're all together, everything is fine with the world.
