White Dog and the rest of the White Dog Army are Thankful this Thursday that the sugaring is working well and Quinn's leg wound is nearly completely healed. He is walking pretty well (much better than he has in a LONG time). Every single morning Nuka, Puff and Oso attend to the maintenance--the unwrapping, cleaning, resugaring and rewrapping of the leg. They wait and watch just to make sure Quinn does not need reassurance and that he receives topnotch care (which Steve is expert at supplying).

I am extra thankful that in changing the dressing everyday, The Other White Dog has grown more tolerant of being held and cuddled. These times of holding him encircled in my arms are very special and meaningful. I believe that we have finally put to rest another bit of fear baggage that came from TOWD's mysterious past as a street dog and deathrow animal control "stray." Healing...and the power of love.

What a beautiful picture! We’re glad that Quinn is on the mend.

Mom said that she is going to concentrate on making “doggie-themed” crocheted blankets for you for next year. It was fun watching her work on them and even more enjoyable sending them off to you.

Hugs and yips,
Cappy and Ollie
