White Dog, actually the entire White Dog Army, stopped their Welcome Home Song to Michael and turned to look at Oso. Oso since his arrival months ago has limited his conversations to some muted mumbles and grunts. He is nearly silent, except in sleep when he snores loudly. Oh, Another White Dog joins the others in their excitement during maneuvers, for mail call, and in announcing visitors...only he reacts usually with body language, soundlessly...
But not this afternoon. There he was, our little Oso, in the middle of the WDA, flanked by Puff and Nuka, barking harmony in their chorus. Not a whimper. Not a murmur. Not a quiet yip...A full rolling BARK! As loud as his sisters and delivered with clarity and confidence.
Pulled Michael up short. "What is wrong, Oso?" he asked. He looked at me. "Why is Oso barking at me?" "For the same reason the others are, I imagine. They are glad you are home."
I swept our Little Man into my arms and kissed him. He wrinkled his nose like he always does and squirmed to get down. "I am so glad you are finding your voice in the White Dog Army. You add just the perfect touch to the Pack Song."

Awww, that is so sweet, and Michael should be so proud that he is the reason Oso found his voice - that says something very special about Michael.
Woos - Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning
We think it's always a beautiful sound when the quiet one finds his voice. Way to go, Oso! :)
