White Dog and the White Dog Army took part in Black and White Sunday in an unusual way. It was our monthly meeting at the Park for Paws To People and it turned out to be a celebration of Ebony and Ivory. The White Dog Army got to meet Sam and Star, sisters of their friend Shadow.

Shadow is a special boy. He is the survivor of several mast cell tumors and will be the Canine Light Bearer at our Candle Light Vigil in November. He and a human Light Bearer will begin the lighting of the candles which we will pass from hand to paw until the entire night is lit with flickering remembrances and hope.

It was a perfect Albuquerque Autumn day and we all made quite a striking parade as we took a lap around the Park as part of our discussion about Exercising Together.
