White Dog and The White Dog Army
Wonderful World Wednesday
White Dog was glum. "What happens if we cannot get Sacchi to us," she fretted. "Have faith, sister," Taiko told her. "Rescue is sometimes complicated and takes time." "Remember how long it took for ME to get here," YoYoMa reassured, as he reminded her of the nearly month-long negotiations and arrangements that went into getting Yes, Another White Dog to us.

It is a wonderful world when you can send out a plea for help and see the news travel from blog to blog, from facebook post to post, from contact to contact. All to help one tiny little Eskie boy find his way to a new forever home. The social media has been a godsend for getting the word out about pups and kitties in need of rescue, fostering, adoption, and transport. It fills our hearts to see the world community join together for the sake one four-legged at a time...for no other reason than to help change the world one starfish at a time.

We saw the power of this network, this paw-to-hand linking across the country when Quinn was saved from deathrow and arrived from Los Angeles. It is a miracle in action each time it happens; a tribute to all of the goodness and care that still outweighs the negativity and selfishness that hog headlines.

It did not really take long, we posted our plea for help Tuesday night and by Thursday afternoon we had an arrangement that will bring Sacchi home next week. Many offered leads, suggestions, donations to offset costs. It was through one such friend-of-a-friend link that we found an Angel in the form of Adrienne who drives transports for the rescues here in ABQ. The Cat Rescue where Michael volunteers shared her information. She has devoted her retirement to her love of animals and giving back. Adrienne is a former long haul trucker; she is going to make the full trip to pick up Sacchi in Yuma and deliver him to the loving arms of the White Dog Army!

Once again, we are at a loss for strong enough words of gratitude for the help of our two- and four-legged family. Thanks to your sharing, leads, prayers, and belief, Sacchi is coming home next week!

To the White Dog Army Wonderful World Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday points us toward the weekend with full hearts and joy as we make ready to welcome our Happy Sacchi.

I like the name Seriously, Another White Dog because the word "seriously" can have so many interpretations and nuances.

I wanted to jump into my van and drive from Iowadown to Yuma to get your newest white dog and bring him to you guys. I am so glad that someone is doing this for you without stops or exchanges. In less than 3 years, when all our debts are paid in
full, I will be able to do just that. And, if you need help then, I'm your gal. My daughter-in-law, Leann, is co-founder of a rescue and just one of the many things that she does is to coordinate transportation between shelters, rescues, and foster parents. So I know how difficult it can be to get an animal from point A to point B and am so glad this is working out so smoothly for you and Sacchi.
