White Dog and the others yawned and shifted position. "I am SO bored," White Dog complained. "Nobody wants to play," Zsofia groused as she dragged her snake toy for the thirtieth time over the sleeping Taiko's nose; he grumbled and curled a lip. There was a chill in the air and even though the sun was out it radiated no noticeable heat. Puff shivered and pressed against me.

"Hey, it is most certainly an Autumn day! Everybody's is off to work and it is just us." I said trying to perk the WDA up. "What says October Saturday like the smell of pumpkin cookies baking? The house will warm up and be scented with pumpkin and spices AND best of all there will need to be taste testers!"

NOW I was talking! Ears perked up and the Army came out to the kitchen to supervise and help. I was right, all agreed as they laid on the floor watching the oven and waiting for the first batch to come out of the oven...the smell was heavenly and the kitchen was flooded with warmth.

I had to sternly warn the White Ones to back up as I took the trays from the oven. "You must wait until they cool; I do not want you to burn your mouths." Snooters stretched and snoofled in the scent of pumpkin and cinnamon and maple; a few whines of desire escaped salivating mouths. "Soon!" I promised.
