White Dog, Sachi, Zsofia, Nilla and Ferguson were ready. So was Kandy Kane, Candace's latest rescue. They had, along with the others who were staying home to mind White Dog Ranch and supervise the Yard Sale, gotten up before six so they could be ready when the volunteers arrived at 6:30am to put the finishing touches on the float and to head over to the University for the lineup.

We were stunning in delivering our message of building bridges to cures. Our crayon people captured this year's Parade theme of "Color the World with Pride." Our sponsor banners proudly told all along the route that the Hope of Saving Lives knows no gender...no orientation...no color...no species."

And the crowd loved us! We were photographed and cheered. The media filmed us as we passed. The WDA was perfect waving to the crowd and drawing attention.

Sally Ann and Andy, that is Sachi, our happy boy. Bella stayed home to mind the ranch...she is VERY shy and the crowd would have spooked her.
