White Dog was so busy putting together the tailgate menu for tomorrow's opening of Opera Season that she almost did not respond to the mailman's knock to let us know he was leaving a package.

Thank goodness the rest of the White Dog Army insisted we bring it in and open it pronto. It contained the amazing tapestry our friends at Dachsies With Moxie had their mom create for WD.
It is photographic in result with a stitch count that must number thousands. The depth of the image and the texture of the finished work makes you want to stare and touch. Each of the WDA had to gently lay their face against it...as well as comment on how perfectly it captured their leader.

"I know just where I want to put it," White Dog said. "Dad can help me. And I will be able to kiss it anytime I want."
WD sat on my lap to admire her portrait. "Perfect. Perfect work. Perfect location. From a perfectly wonderful friend."

I nodded agreement and seconded her thanks, adding "and perfect subject."
