White Dog watched Steve folding up CA Stormer's former bedding (CA seems to be enjoying his handsome new orthopedic mattress with bolsters on three sides). I saw an idea come into White Dog's head before she spoke it and watched her hurry over to Steve.

"Dad, let's not put those pads and blankets away," she said. "Let's make a special comfy spot for Stormer in the living room where he can rest with the rest of us and not miss anything going on in the Army." Steve peered from the laundry into the living room.

"Where would we put it? We already are kind of full." he replied. My Girl, the Planner, had already worked out the details.

"Set them up right along the front of the sofa. Every pup who uses the couch will still be able to hop up and if we have human company we can just remove the pallet temporarily." I had to admit White Dog's plan had merit. Stormer would be using space not in the way or already claimed. It was right by the furnace vent so his arthritis would benefit from the heat when the weather gets colder. AND it would make hanging with the pack more accessible.

White Dog looked over later and nudged me. "I think he likes it!"

What a wonderful suggestion, White Dog! And yes, we do believe Stormer likes it. :)
