White Dog wondered, "When did the holiday part end and just the weekend part begin? Dad has been home so long that it all is sorting flowing together. We are all getting used to it...and liking it LOTS!"
WD was voicing what the others had asked HER since it has been four days of relaxed schedules, extra treats, daytime walks, photo sessions, fun in the yard. But we still shopped for dog treats and groceries, did the laundry, worked around the house. No one was looking forward to Steve's return to the work week routine.
"We want to do more of this," Nilla pleaded:
"Good news, kids," I told them. "Dad is home for ten days for Christmas-New Year break. The entire office closes down." The WDA was already huddled making plans by the time I finished my sentence.
