White Dog looked at the action in the doorway proudly. "Her help is so quiet and spot on, it would be easy to not even notice. She IS our perfect fit."

The boys were antsy under another day of heat...not that everyone was not cool and comfortable inside...they were just irritable and testy. Both had been repeatedly warned by White Dog about needing an attitude adjustment.

Standing nearly nose-to-nose Tizenegy and Roman began another round of smack talk that quickly ramped up to teeth being shown. We have a zero tolerance policy of that due to Roman's reactiveness...and just because it is not nice.

"HEY!" I shouted as we have been training to do in order to refocus on me. "KNOCK IT OFF! NOW!!" (that is training code for Roman to walk away and take a self timeout).

He started toward the dog door as is his usual breakaway but Tiz moved into the hallway and started barking. This renewed the tensions between the two.

I stood, water bottle in hand, but was brushed aside as Bailey smoothly glided to put herself between the macho standoff. She sidestepped the two apart. She is our largest Army member in height and stature; when she chooses to be, she is a wall.

It only took a moment to defuse things and Zsofia came from the bedroom to stand next to her sister. HER action forced Roman to move out of the way, down the hall, and out of the dog door.

Tizenegy went back to his bed; I heard him settle comfortably.

"You have trained Bai and Zso well, White Dog," I told her. "They stayed calm, did not engage in the silliness, and prevented what could have easily gone too far. It was a great team effort."

And I shared my praise to Bailey and Zsofia, along with a special treat when they came back in from checking on Roman.
