August 3, 2018

White Dog calculated the physics as Pearl took a magnificent leap across the room to show off to our guest her window guarding skills. I saw WD's muscles tighten...just as Pearl overshot the Watching Chair and smashed against the window.

"9:30am White Dogs meet Sue. 10am Pearl breaks the front window" Was all White Dog said. Steve went chasing Pearl who rebounded and was heading for the yard. She was not hurt but I suspect a lump WILL form. She hit hard.

Sue leaped up and pushed the now curious WDA away from the scene. "I am going to gather up the blankets in case there is any glass," she said. "Where is the sweeper?"

Steve went to look from the outside. Most of the glass went out there. HE grabbed the broom and dustpan. I found myself holding leashes for the pushy ones...Roman, Zso, and Bella who all wanted to look out of the newly opened portal.

The original plan had been that after our WDA meet and greet, Sue, Steve and I would head over to the Pueblo Indian Cultural Center for lunch and to view the newly redone museum.

Now we would wait for the glass repair guy to come. "Welcome to our lives, Sue." Only another Eskie momma (she has six) would be so nonplussed.

Whoa. We're glad Pearl was not hurt (other than the lump that will no doubt form). Sorry your plans got sidetracked, though.
