White Dog and The White Dog Army knew tonight would be an Eastern Indian feast because it was Beth's last visit before heading back to Virginia and the meal was a tradition. There was an anticipation of roti dipped in korma sauce and bites of flavor-rich chicken.
Beth surprised the Army with treats she had driven to the far side of town to purchase from our favorite pet store. Her gift of duck jerky sticks and duck weenies lit up eyes with gluttony until momma ruined it all by proclaiming that White Dog would choose one bag to open and each pup would be fed one treat by Beth for dessert.
The treats earned our friend the extended version of the Army's Song of Departure and the complete Hurry Back chorus.
