White Dog defended her brother. "You know Tizenegy doesn't like to be a problem and he did not want to wake you." Our poor boy was not in trouble but he was in the throes of a very upset digestive system.

Steve discovered there was a problem pre-dawn when he went to the bathroom and his foot landed in something unexpected. At that point we had not yet pinpointed who was sick as everyone was still asleep. But a bit later when the WDA and Steve arose to start the day, the full extent of Tiz's suffering was revealed. He had left messes everywhere.

The poor boy was ashamed and scared and still not settled. Steve calmed him as Tiz's furs were cleaned and then gave him an antidiarrheal. White Dog breakfast was delayed so cleanup could be accomplished but no one complained.

Tizenegy had a few sips of water and white rice...and was hurried out to the yard stricken with another bout. Our Lucky Number was not feeling very lucky. He has been lackluster all day and has slept even more than usual.

White Dog has kept tabs on him and we have a plan to call Dr. Julia in the morning if trouble lingers. Tonight, if he wants food at all, he will get a special meal of rice and bone broth; Tizenegy is not one to miss a meal.

For now, I cradle my boy's face in my hands and look into his eyes. "I am sorry you are feeling glicky," I tell him. "We know it is not your fault. You will be well again soon but just take it easy now. Know you are loved."
