White Dog yawned, "What the heck is with you humans? How does making loud noises and blasting firecrackers until the wee hours of the morning make for a happier New Year? Poor Roman sat awake quaking until 3am! The White Dog Army is starting the new year sleep deprived; I am sending everyone back to bed to sleep off the crabbies."
The others settled down for a lazy morning and Steve gently carried White Dog into the bathroom. "I know you always like to start the New Year freshly groomed," he told her. "In the old days you would have gone to the spa but it you can stand Chez Dad I can promise a nice warm bath, shower and heated towels for drying after."
"And then a nice nap under a blankie." I whispered to her.

Here's to a happy, healthy, and memory-filled 2020 for all! I am with White Dog, I just do not get the fireworks! I asked a friend the other day while chatting when did that start? When I was growing up, I do not recall fireworks being part of the New Year celebration. It was confetti, paper horns, and toasting! My one Husky does not like those fireworks at all, so New Year is always home and lots of white noise to keep her calm. Love all your snuggle pup pics!
