White Dog, thanks to her pain medications, is sleeping much more soundly than she used to. In the past, she was the one who alerted us in the night that Bella, her roommate, in her midnight wanderings had managed to get herself stuck somewhere.
Not so last night. At some point Bella the Vampire somehow got herself lodged in the side of the computer cart. Generally, she does not bark when she gets into a situation until she get impatient. Well, last night she just went to sleep in her captive position with her backend on the shelf and her head on the carpet. Steve freed her early this morning when he went to check on the girls.
We have already begun to introduce the concept of sleeping in a crate. There are two different ones in the room which currently are set up open, with no lockable door. The time is coming before winter I feel that Bella Bee will need confinement at night...that even being gated in the office offers too many opportunities for misadventure. In the meantime, my computer and wheeled cart will shift from night garaging in the office to being parked in the living room which should not impede Bailey should she choose to spend the night on the sofa.
