White Dog smiled at the reminder and curled up on the Tizenegy bed to listen to the protests she knew were coming. The others were not quite so calm.
"Today? Your holiday weekend is over and you return to work today? Yes, I know you are still working from home, but that means I must be quiet when you are in meetings. Well, what if the mailman comes at one of those times? Should I just whisper an alert?"
"What if there is an emergency? Can I interrupt your meeting then? Like what? Well, like momma needing assistance or the house burning or the roadrunner coming back into the yard?"
"Is there payment in treats for our cooperation? You did say you have meeting ALL day, that is a long time to stay quiet AND out of trouble. What do you think, dad, two treats an hour to each of us?"
"Admit it, dad, you will miss us mightily when you go to a split home/office schedule in August. We bet your coworkers are NOwhere near as fun as we are."
"I am pretty sure THEY don't let you give belly rubs."

This may not make you feel better, but Emil’s cat Tuptim is most unhappy. She will miss her favorite daytime TV shows..”Tuptim Leads. A Meetin” And “Tuptim moons the General Manager” are among her top favorites. And she doesn’t have a firm date for partially reopening the BIG office. Take it easy on your humans please..
