White Dog and the White Dog Army watched as Steve gathered together the pile of items we have been saving to donate to the recycle donation drive coming up at the end of the month. Next weekend is the eWaste Collection and he made one stack of items in the Studio the following weekend is the general donation drive which was another group on the other side of the room. As he worked, the Army thought of things we could discard to add to the fundraiser.
"Don't forget that ancient scanner momma has on her desk. She never uses it; it lives under a stack of papers. I think the only reason she hangs on to it is that she likes its sleek lines and tiny blue "on" light. I bet it probably would not even work with her current system," Tizenegy suggested. (He spends WAY too much time at his place next to his tech-guru dad's desk I think...and the scanner is very Scandinavian modern). "I'll distract her while you sneak in and grab it," White Dog volunteered.
"Remember the new area rug you got for the bedroom about this time LAST year? You were going to update then decided to wait because Stormer and YoYoMa were so sick?" Nilla mentioned. "If you take out the old one and lay the new, we will have a pretty new rug and you can donate the old one." "After LOTS of vacuuming," Steve laughed.
"Same with the tiny little round bed that Bella used to sometimes use. Some pup might enjoy its cowboy theme." "And what about the blanket that Bailey ate a hole in the bottom of." "And what about the crockpot? You have had it FOREVER."
"Excuse me," I told Zso, "but DINNER is cooking right now in that little treasure." The WDA sniffed the chicken stew cooking and unanimously turned paws down to THAT suggestion."
"Let's all go in the bedroom and try out the new rug," said Pearl. "Maybe we can take a nap under the fan and see just how comfortable it is," she yawned.
