White Dog watched me flip my desk calendar. "September already. Is it just me or does it seem like this year has gone faster than others?" she asked. "Based on the Army," I told her, "I am hardpressed to tell what month it is."

I laughed and nodded across the room. "You would think we would be able to mark the passage of time on the blowing coat and shedding cycles of the White Dog Army. This year you all have released furs pretty much non-stop. Logic would say that you all would be ADDING coat now instead of continuing to fill the brushes but you defy logic in that your coats ARE getting thicker and fluffier while AT THE SAME TIME giving the vacuum cleaner a daily workout. And those two are the worst..."
