White Dog was already sitting next to Steve's spot on the couch. She knew.

Tizenegy was in his kitchen place and snoofling up a storm.

"Why yes," Steve said in response to his excited yip, "they ARE lamb chops!" And to his sister, "And yes, each of you will get a bite."

Suddenly dinner seemed a whole lot more exciting.
