White Dog sat with me while Bella went to see Dr. Julia with Steve. Bella's urine test had somehow not been processed at the lab and our vet did not wait to wait another day just in case it was something that was serious.

She made time in an already overbooked day to examine Bella and run bloodwork in-house. The first thing everyone said was that Bella looked much better today than she did yesterday...and we agreed. Dr. Julia gave an thorough exam and had her vet nurses run a full blood panel.

When Dr. Julia came back in smiling Steve let out the breath he had been holding. She caressed Bella's ear. "For a thirteen year old girl, you have nearly perfect labs. White Blood count is good, platelets, good. Organ indicators are all good, except your gallbladder numbers are a bit high. Stay away from fatty foods and you will have no problems. I am not seeing any signs of infection, the bladder control issues may have been senior moments or even Bella's allergies could have caused some inflammation that lessened her sense of needing to go. Unless the urine test when it comes shows something unexpected, I am not going to prescribe anything. Let me know if the accidents continue and then we may need to address the problem as being senior-related."

Bella was greeted as a returning hero and the call was immediately raised for a round of treats...low-fat ones, of course.
