White Dog stepped between Roman and Zsofia. "Take a deep breath. Both of you. It is going to take some time to adjust to the change in rhythm and habits now that we are seven. It is ok to be sad or to want to be alone. It is NOT ok to be mean or unkind. Grief is not something you feel for an hour or a week and then it goes away. We will all find ourselves unsettled at different times over and over again. Remember how long it took for us to not look for Nilla to line up for walks? Like her, Pearl is with us forever but in a different way. Now I want you all to find a place and think of something that makes you smile; don't move until you do...and momma and dad? you, too!
