White Dog came in and asked, "What is Tizenegy so happy about? He is laying on his bed singing and smiling like he just won lotto."
Tizenegy has been having a small issues with his hip dysplasia and I called this morning to schedule a visit with Dr. Julia. "It is not an emergency," I told Jackie, "don't rearrange everything to fit us in; a regular appointment will be fine." "Well, you are in luck," she responded, "if Steve can bring him in at 4, I just had a cancellation."
Dr. Julia bumped up his pain management to include galliprant. While she was at it she ran a blood panel since he had not had one in a while. And had prescribed an anti-fungal ointment for the spot on his back he keeps chewing at.
The BEST part, at least in Tiz's opinion was when our good doctor told Steve that our boy had lost some weight. "He is getting too thin," she said, "feed him more."
"FEED ME!" Tiz barked at every person and car they passed on the way home. He wagged and sang to Steve a list of foods he wanted: cheeseburgers, salmon, cookies, cottage cheese and peaches, broccoli quiche..." "Whoa!" Steve stopped him. "She said you should eat more not explode from gluttony."
When they entered the house Tizenegy danced past the WDA chanting "Guess who gets to eat more, eat more, guess who gets to eat more...go on and take a guess!"
In answer to White Dog, I said, "Dr. Julia uttered Tiz's favorite two words...more food. And now I fear he is going to be unbearable to everyone else in his little personal celebration."
