White Dog liked my idea that we needed a "Family Cocooning Day," indulging ourselves in togetherness wrapped in a gentle slow pace.

So we hung out together

We took Pumpkin for a bath over at the Assistance League which was having a fundraiser
We shared Peruvian food for lunch (chicken in creamy yellow chile sauce; classic Peruvian fried rice with chicken, and the Sunday special rotisserie chicken)

While the others napped White Dog claimed "Dad and me" time to go for a car ride.

When they returned, we all huddled together to watch a Sunday Matinee, the Tim Burton "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children" complete with popcorn and trading sticks.
Over a light supper of shrimp cocktail all agreed that it was a delightful day.

Tizenegy suggested we do it again tomorrow and even volunteered to find a suitable film. "It is a workday, dear Boy," Steve gently told him. "But maybe you can do your research and we can try for next weekend."

Bella and Tiz got right on it.
