White Dog quietly asked me to grant Roman a reprieve. "You know sometimes his demons take hold and acts out," she reminded me.
Roman was in "time out" for aggressively flying across the kitchen to confront Opal who had picked up a cherry tomato that he had refused and dropped to the floor before walking away.
I hugged my compassionate girl. "It is at those times that your brother needs a little seperation; time to gather himself and take back control from the demons. He has come a long way and realizes after the fact that he has crossed the line but that is not good enough. I must be sure all of you are safe and that no one feels intimidated. I will let him out in a bit. Then I will then make a point to rub his ears and speak softly and calmly. He will know he is always loved and that I believe in him.""He acts so tough and mean sometimes," White Dog said, "but he really has a good heart and tries VERY hard."
