 Diva's eyes almost popped out of her head. "For ME?" she stammered, "TWO packages?" "Go figure," Opal shrugged having been the one to alert us that delivery guys were parading to the door.

Box #1 turned out to be a box to share. It contained individual cookies ("lots of BIG ones" said Zso) for the White Dog Army, a pair of lovely angel tributes for momma...

...and a perfectly fitting pink harness with a matching heart collar. "This is to Welcome Diva to the White Dog Army," our wonderful friends told us. "Poor Diva came, got lost in Siku passing and then the holidays. We waited because we wanted her to know these were just for her, just to say 'hello'."

For the second package, Zsofia gathered the entire Army around. She asked Steve to hold Diva so they could open the box together. "It is the tradition in the WDA that we have a portrait made of each new recruit to hang on the mantle along with the portraits of all the current members. Dad, if you can hang this tomorrow, Diva can enjoy seeing herself larger-than-life (which is not the case for most of us) and will be always reminded she is of us."
