I saw a sight that I never thought I would see again, at least not since Zsofia was a puppy many years ago. In cleaning out a closet today, I found an old travel bag that we had packed back when we travelled with Siku. Inside was a foldable water dish, some very stale dog food, and a few stuffy toys. I placed the bone shaped stuffy on the floor along with a tennis ball toy. Bailey took the ball and started chewing on it. 

Then, Zsofia sniffed the bone stuffy and started to play with it! She took it up on the bed to claim ownership, and gently tossed it around, always reclaiming it if it left her posession. I'm not sure what motivated her, but it warmed my heart to see her taking loving care of a toy Siku played with long ago. I don't even remember the last time the Siku travel bag was used, but it was long ago when Siku was an only child. 

I hope that Zsofia is starting to heal from Momma leaving us. She brought a little levity to our house today, and it provided a sense of healing for all of us.
