White Dog and the rest of the White Dog Army are VERY proud of their new banner, created by the incredibly talented and wonderful Ann from Zoolatry. In colors as stark as the WDA, Ann has captured the spirit of the pack and the individual characters of each White One. "It is like she knows us personally," Oso whispered in awe. "Of course she does, the whole world knows the WDA, newcomer," White Dog replied, "but SHE was able to make us ART!" More than a skillful artist, Ann has a heart even bigger than her talent. "I cannot believe that she gave this to ME as a gift," Puff blushed. "No one has EVER done anything as nice as that before." Ann has asked us to pay forward our gratitude, insisting that the new header was a present symbolizing Puff's new hard won return to health. The WDA promises to do her proud under their new banner and to show their thanks by crafting every post to be thoughtful and filled with hope.
For Ann and for all of our very special amazing friends whose prayers and positive thoughts have helped Puff recover from what the emergency room doctor later expressed "seemed fatal for such an old dog." We are so blessed to have you with us on our journey. Picture the entire White Dog Army howling along...
On another Still Another White Dog front: We thought that Dr. Julia was going to step down Puff's steroid today but she decided to keep things where they are for another week. this is not because SAWD is having more troubles; it is because of the atmospheric smoke and the fact our girl is doing so well that she just does not want to risk a setback. Poor little White Dog would be OK with that if the medication did not leave her STARVING all of the time.
In small compensation, her new multi-cyclonic pet vacuum arrived today. She looked through every bit of packaging (and tasted some of it) but there was not an edible crumb. She was excited as she supervised Steve's assembling of it, that it will make her breathe easier. The others were not so impressed.
